AMENITIES
Our facilities include a large open indoor space, complete with a cozy children’s library, homework area, educational toys, board games, computers, and tables for healthy snacks and meals prepared in our own RCC kitchen.
We also offer a large wooded outdoor area complete with our large RCC Children’s Garden, fenced sports court, wooden decks, sandbox, picnic benches, environmentally friendly “green” playground, and plenty of trees with ample shade.
We maintain a 1:15 teacher-to-child ratio, providing opportunities for children to work with teachers on a one-to-one basis, or in small or large groups.
We provide care for children during regular RCC hours, opening at 6:30 am and closing at 6:30 pm. RCC provides school bus transportation to various elementary schools in the Reston area, escorting our children to and from their respective buses each day. Breakfast and an afternoon
snack are provided, with a warm lunch on full days.
A unique facet of our program is that we provide care on many days when Fairfax County public schools are closed, including winter and spring breaks, teacher work days, and most snow days. A variety of field trips and activities are planned for these days.
Students utilize Lego and teamwork in a variety of STEM activities that challenge them to think critically and creatively. In Lego Club, students build everything from balloon-powered cars, ziplines, inclined planes, boats, and more.
Lego Club
An RCC staple, Ms. Pat Mac returns and helps students explore their creative side with a variety of amazing art projects.
Art House
Students build good sportsmanship and get their sweat on with unique physical activities and games not usually done on other school days.
Sportscenter
Does your child ever dream of running their own business selling something they love? This club helps explore that idea and teaches young entrepreneurs how to take an idea and turn it into a business. Students work together in small groups to create a product, a business plan, and a storefront to sell everything. At the end of the session, students show off their hard work with our very own “RCC Farmer’s Market.”
Boutique Club
Students dive into the wonderful world of cooking! In this club we learn how to cook snacks and desserts while exploring the importance of reading instructions, measuring ingredients, and kitchen safety. All recipes are nut-free.
Cooking Club
Students explore education through technology using iPads and different apps. Learn how to create a stop motion movie, your own interactive game, and more.

"I am a parent of RCC and my son Ben has really enjoyed being there. He was in the preschool for 2 years and this year is in the Kindergarten program which has been wonderful for him. He is a social little guy so the open environment with the preschool was perfect place for him to learn and make his own choices. Thanks RCC."
